CMH Contemporary Art utilises over 15 years of experience in the art market to help international collectors acquire some of the world’s most interesting and unique works of contemporary art. Providing expert curatorial guidance, we are able to introduce our clients to new artists or source them work by the most established names in art history. Working with a global network of galleries, dealers and private collections, CMH Contemporary Art aims to locate and place high quality pieces, at the best price and provenance that the market has to offer.

Established by Chris Hammond, CMH Contemporary Art builds upon his significant experience as an international gallery owner in both London and Brussels. Best known as the founder and artistic director of Mot International, Hammond received critical acclaim for his distinctive curatorial style and his discovery of two Turner Prize winners in as many consecutive years, Elizabeth Price (2012) and Laure Prouvost (2013). The gallery built a name for introducing and developing young artistic talent while also representing a number of important established artists. It regularly participated in international art fairs including Art Basel, Frieze, Fiac, The Armory Show, Art Basel Miami Beach, Frieze New York and Artissima.

Since 2002 Chris Hammond has curated and organised more than 100 exhibitions and has worked with such high profile artists and estates as Martin Kippenberger, Franz West, Dennis Oppenheim, Mike Kelley, Paul McCarthy, Rodney Graham, Louise Lawler, Jeff Koons, Susan Hiller and many others. On top of an established career as a dealer and curator, Hammond remains an academic of 25 years and has lectured at Goldsmiths, University of London since 2007.
